Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue Service


Bedfordshire and Luton Fire and Rescue provide emergency fire and rescue cover to a geographical 123,153 hectares. The area consists principally of rural landscape, with a number of market towns. The Service employs approximately 600 staff and its annual revenue budget for 2009/10 is £28,286,559.


Humberside Fire & Rescue Service


Humberside Fire & Rescue Service (HFRS) provide emergency fire & rescue cover to the four local authorities of North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Hull City and East Riding of Yorkshire. The county covers an area of 3,639 sq/km and has a population of 907,800, which has a diverse geography that includes urban, rural and coastal communities. HFRS employs 1283 staff, operating from 31 strategic locations.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service


Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is the provider of Fire and Rescue Services, for the people of Lancashire on behalf of the Combined Fire Authority. Operating across the county from thirty nine fire stations. We deliver a wide range of prevention, protection and emergency response services, geared to reducing risk and improving public safety.



Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) comprises' of 30 Fire Stations and over 1000 personnel. It provides an effective emergency response service, attending an array of incidents each year. HFRS is a member of the Hertfordshire Road Safety Partnership delivering joint community road safety activities through a data led approach.


Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service

Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) provides emergency response to a wide range of public emergencies including; fires, road traffic collisions, flooding, wild fire, chemical incidents and transport-related incidents.

NFRS has approximately 370 operational personnel, 70 community safety personnel and approximately 50 support staff.

Road Safety Council of Northern Ireland

Road Safety Council of Northern Ireland is a voluntary organisation comprising some 200 members working in 17 local committees spread around the region and supported by one full time and one part time staff.

Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ORSA)

Occupational Road Safety Alliance (ORSA) was created in April 2002 when 40 organisations agreed to work together to promote occupational road safety. Now comprising over 300 organisations it aims to: facilitate networking and the exchange of information, encourage joint working on work related road safety, establish common goals and technical co-operation, organise events.

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is the UK's largest single provider of mobility and other rehabilitation training for blind and partially sighted people. Each year, it helps thousands of visually impaired clients to negotiate public transport, either with a guide dog or a long cane. Guide Dogs' vision is for a world in which all people who are blind and partially sighted enjoy the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as everyone else. Number of individual members: 971 Number of staff: approx 1,000

Driving Research Group, Cranfield University

Cranfield University is a wholly postgraduate institution employing over 1,000 academic and academic support staff. The Driving Research Group's mission is to transform knowledge into driver education solutions for the private and public sector. DriverMetrics is a company wholly owned by Cranfield will provide a driver risk assessment and coaching service to organisations with major fleets of drivers. Number of students/pupils: 3,000.

The DIDU Association

The DIDU Association is an organisation that represents Approved Driving Instructors (its members). Members teach/coach people to drive from the learner level to the advanced level. DIDU organises seminars for its members within the UK on a non profit basis.

Road Safety Expo

Road Safety Expo: Annual event which was set up in 2007, now running in it's third year. We are committed to bringing together Road Safety professionals from around Europe for a series of knowledge-sharing seminars and conference programmes in a continuing aim to reduce road casualties.
