Restoration of safety and road conditions through special cleaning and maintenance of roads and surrounding areas following liquid spills and the loss of functional vehicle equipment or solid waste related to vehicle equipment subsequent to accidents or other incidents.

Sicurezza e Ambiente, which is fully committed to the European Road Safety Charter and wholeheartedly shares the EU objective, undertakes to improve infrastructure safety by raising awareness among local and national authorities about road safety through the organisation of meetings involving experts on civil protection, university lecturers, engineers, traffic police officers and other experts in the field, in order to enable these people to compare and select best practices to be applied on a national and community level.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the problem of restoring the safety of infrastructure after accidents, as shortcomings or inadequate restoration cause approximately 7% of accidents in Italy according to ISTAT, which recorded 330 deaths and 21,750 injuries in 2008 alone.
Sicurezza e Ambiente undertakes to organise at least two national meetings per year, and at least one per year for each region; in other words, 20 regional meetings out of a total of 22 meetings annually.
