Gruppo Massara S.p.a.
Italy | Enterprise

In fact, thanks to the experience inherited from enterprises that work in complementary segments it is able to follow all the stages of road safety measures from audit to planning, from supply to installation and maintenance.
Selbstverpflichtung
Gruppo Massara promotes road safety through its website, the objective of which is to disseminate information via Web 2.0 as opposed to being a simple showcase for company products or information.
www.gruppomassara.it compiles and presents road safety news on its home page, which is updated daily, encompassing driver behaviour aspects, vehicle safety and, in particular, infrastructure safety. The website also has an entire area devoted to road safety divided into categories (new legislation, information and statistics, and an international observatory on the issue), in addition to listing reference institutions, organisations, associations and blogs.
Tools such as RSS feeds, social bookmarking and search engine optimisation ensure not only that the news appears on the website, but also that it can be easily intercepted by Internet users and disseminated in turn.
The objective of the initiative is to raise awareness about road safety among society and public authorities, companies, associations and professionals.
This activity involves constant monitoring and the bookmarking of all news appearing on websites, search engines and Web portals.
The website, which has been online since August 2009, currently receives approximately 1,500 visitors per month.
In the near future, Gruppo Massara, which makes road safety an integral part of its mission, as indicated by its “We care for road safety” slogan, is about to launch the following initiatives to increase its commitment to road safety:
1. It will send a weekly electronic newsletter referring to news items on the website to a database of 700 contacts, including journalists, public authority managers, road management bodies, associations working in the field of road safety, motorway authorities, etc.
2. It will include further road safety content on the website, such as interviews with people involved in road safety.
3. There will be an English version of the website with European news on road safety, to be published in the source language.
4. It will launch online PR initiatives in order to encourage public opinion on the issue of road infrastructure safety, also using the best known and most used social networking tools (FaceBook, Linkedin and Twitter).
