FTA (Freight Transport Association) Ireland is a not-for-profit membership trade association for the Irish freight and logistics industry. We are wholly owned and governed by our members and will act solely in advancing their best interests.
FTA Ireland covers all aspects of private and public freight transport, passenger transport and logistics supply chain, including road, rail, sea and air.

For the next three years and as part of our commitment to the European Road Safety Charter we will:

Educate and promote safe driving techniques. We will place a focus on driving fatigue , raise awarenees of the importance of understanding the contents and effects on driving of prescribed medication.

We will do this by:

1. Implementing a training program focused on raising awareness and promoting it to the members of our association.

2. Post information on our website regarding these and other road safety issues.

3. Distribute leaflets to our members and to those interested in becoming our members. The leaflets as well as the information that will be made available on our site will be of informative nature and will focus on the road safety of the professional drivers in the logistics and freight forwarding industries.
