Close to the European Road Safety Charter Awards 2009
The Excellence in Road Safety Awards, organised by the European Commission, signifies a very special happening for the Charter community. At this yearly ceremony, 6 signatories receive recognition for the high standard of their commitments. They are rewarded for the active and original action plans that they are implementing in order to contribute to the reduction of traffic fatalities in Europe.

The European Commission invites the winners to Brussels to receive their awards from the Commissioner for Energy and Transport, during a ceremony that is both moving and stimulating. By highlighting these exemplary initiatives, this celebration aims to encourage all types of organizations to get involved in road safety and join the European Road Safety Charter community.

This year, the Excellence in Road Safety Awards ceremony will be included in the European Road Safety Action Program 2011-2020 conference, which will take place on 2 December 2009 in Brussels. You can register for the whole event until Friday 20 November at the following link: http://ec.europa.eu/transport/road_safety/events/2009_12_02_ersap_conference_en.htm
