Impegno
During the next three years we will implement the following activities:
1) Road Safety lectures and talks targeting different groups of citizens.
a) We will organize lectures for high school students in the city of Ústí nad Labem, focused on accidents and their causes in concrete locations in the city. In order to raise the student's awareness we will use harsh video clips, statements from autopsies of young people that died in car accidents, photos from real accidents. We will visit about 10 high schools per year and raise awareness of 18 years old 400 students
b) We will organize lectures for novice drivers in driving schools and professional drivers. We will raise their awareness of accidents and their causes in concrete locations in the city. We plan to reach about 1000 novice drivers and about 1000 professional drivers.
c) We will offer talks for elderly people, focusing specially on pedestrians in collaboration with an optician and an ophthalmologist.
We will reach about 200 - 300 elderly people per year.
d) We will offer talks for citizens of the former Ústí nad Labem district municipalities raising their awareness of accidents and their causes. We will inform the citizens about the talks via press ( about 2000 citizens informed) and informing different town halls (about 25) and district authorities.
e) We will offer presentations to the city council representatives informing them about the possibility of changing the punishing equipments (as traffic lights, radars etc) by not punishing equipments (roundabouts, chicanes, speed bumps, etc), traffic calming measures and information about the accidents number in the locations of their responsibility.
Our objective is to reach about 250 representatives of all 25 town halls.
In all the lectures and talks the technique of subliminal perception will be used.
2) We will draw on the roads silhouettes of traffic accident victims on the communications making the users know that also on apparently safe places a fatality can happen.
3) We will collaborate with our German partner - the police of Dresden (Germany) in organizing road safety conferences and talks and exchanging our experiences and good practices in the field of prevention of the following target groups: elderly people, children, high school students, novice drivers, professional drivers, town hall representatives.
