Statoil Latvija operates in fuel and oil product fields, both in sale and wholesale. Statoil Latvija has also a network of fuel filling station. Number of staff: 850.

After our 3-years Road Safety action plan, we now plan to focus on Eco driving that will have a positive impact on the behaviour of our drivers. In fact, eco driving encourages speed reduction, creates less stress and therefore reduces tiredness and accidents.   1) Cooperation and regular support of Latvian Traffic Safety Administration in regional campaigns. It is planned to have at least 3 national Road Safety campaigns per year with mass media communication and POP (Point of Purchase) materials in Statoil stations. We will organise internal communication to Statoil employees.   2) Support of Safe Driving School (SDS) - on-going training programmes for individuals and companies. We launch a new programme in 2009: eco-driving for heavy vehicles. This year it is planned to train all Statoil fuel truck drivers (~20 persons). Additionally it is planned to train also office and site personnel (number of persons to be defined)   Period of commitment : 2009-2011
