The Warsaw School of Economics (Szkoła Główna Handlowa, SGH) was founded in 1906 as the first public university of economics and management in Poland. Currently the School educates over 15,000 students of Bachelor, Master and PhD. levels and takes 1st rank among economic schools in all surveys of Poland’s higher education.
The Transport, Forwarding and Logistics Students’ Association (SKN TSL) at the Institute of Foreign Trade Policy and European Studies in the Collegium of World Economy (Warsaw School of Economics) was founded in December 2002. SKN TSL deals with the issues of transport, development of transport infrastructure, international forwarding and logistics.

Impegno

As part of our activities to improve road safety in Poland, every year our Association will hold a conference "Road War", devoted in its entirety to the problems of road safety. This annual conference will be organised for our School's students and their fundamental goals are to make young drivers aware of the responsibility they bear while driving and to improve their culture of driving.

We will be inviting representatives from the police headquarters, Road Transport Inspection, National Council for Road Safety and Polish Motor Association. We will also cooperate with said institutions on preparation of the factual contents of the conference (we will be using their teaching materials, research papers and results of their investigations).

Apart from lectures and discussions, we will also have demonstrations of road rescue cases, first aid courses, meetings with most experienced drivers, etc.

We expect that annually about 100 students will participate directly in our undertaking (participation in the conference and accompanying courses).

As one of our objectives is to give more visibility to road safety topics among all 15.000 students of our school (not only those who will actively take part in the conference) as well as among all young people in Poland, we will closely cooperate with various media (press, radio, TV) on local and national level. The information about conference will appear in the school newspapers and website, as well as in several different magazines.

Additionally, we will dedicate one section of our association’s website to the topics related to the conference as well as road safety in general.
