The main activity is academic and research-based, given that this is a public university department that trains its students to be civil engineers.
Impegno
The following specific actions will be implemented in our department:
- Establishment of a road safety committee, chaired by the director of the department, comprising five people appointed from among the teaching and research staff, one administration and services member and two students.
- Creation of a road safety degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid for future approval.
The actions will focus on research to improve the safety of road infrastructure, as well as implementation of the aforementioned degree course.
National and international road safety experts will participate in the work carried out by the internal road safety committee.
