Driving school Podsklan located in Nitra, Slovakia, counts with 15 employees. It offers driving courses for the groups M, A, B, C, T, D, E courses for driving instructors and also first aid courses.

We commit to raise road safety awareness during the next three years by the following actions: 

 

 1) We will organize road safety lessons in schools in order to instil respect and cohesion between the traffic users. Our objective is to teach children the basic road safety rules and also explain the new rules in the traffic code.

We expect to make aware of about 4 000 to 5 000 children per year aged from 5 to 15 years.

 

2) We will organize road safety lectures for young cyclists (children from 10 to 12 years).   After the lecture they will receive reflective material and bicycle “driving licenses”.

In this way we will raise awareness of 700 young cyclists per year.

 

3) Between 2009 and 2012 we plan to distribute about 3 000 reflective jackets and raising awareness flyers directly in the traffic, on the crossroads, pedestrian zones and during concrete dates.

 

4) We will organize conferences in companies, whose employees have to drive cars in their daily work. We will focus specially on elderly persons who don't have the opportunity to up-date their knowledge about new rules in the traffic code.

We plan to reach about 2 000 to 3 000 traffic users.

We plan to distribute about 10 000 informative flyers.

 

5) We will launch a website that will focus on road safety in the cases of:

- pedestrians and cyclists

- pre-school children

- young drivers

- the danger of alcohol and drugs while driving
