Accidents can be caused by a lack of vehicle maintenance. To make sure our staff members drive only safe cars, we will start reminding our staff and our instructors (31 people) on a regular basis of the need to look after their cars. We will remind them to check the main points of P.O.W.E.R. (Petrol, Oil, Water, Electricity, Rubber) before taking to the road. We aim to maintain this regular communication until 2009.
In order to improve the efficiency of didactic means in driving training, RSC will start the development of the latest generation interactive driving simulator. This tool will enable practical training and assessment at all times and in a 100% safe environment. This simulator will be available from 2006 for corporate as well as public road safety actions and for actual training.
To improve driver visibility when having to leave the vehicle because of a mechanical breakdown, we will provide all our trainees with a fluorescent safety jacket (which is not mandatory in the Benelux) free of charge, including, retroactively, the trainees that have been trained by our company in the past. We foresee a total distribution of 4,000 jackets from now until the end of 2009.
