What problem did you address/are you addressing?
The main problem is the level of financial resources. We gain new investors and partners, but technologies are very expensive and require huge financial outlay ( for example, we are currently working with our partner – “Spectre Solution” on the project of a new device). Also our activities for children could be realized much faster and on a larger scale if the financial capacity allowed for this.
What are your objectives?
The main goal of our activity is to save as many lives as possible and increase road safety. We realize this goal by:
1. Education of people of all ages: from the youngest (preschoolers) to the oldest (seniors). The teaching is adapted to each group individually. The courses are an combination of theory and extensive practical trainings.
2. Implementation of modern technology through creating an E-learning platform for abroad education & Designing and putting into use the Rescue Dron

Name of action

1."First Aid- It’s easy!" programme This program last since 2001.
Our instructors trained over 6000 people in first aid. We are proud that we can contribute to increasing the safety and effectiveness of first aid in Poland.

2."Casper- The Child Safe on the Road" programme
The program has now been running for four years. It is realized all over the and it is aimed at the youngest road users. The idea behind the program is to familiarized children with safety rules and first aid basic through play. Since the beginning of the program BRD Center, with financial participation of the insurance company PZU SA organized approx. 25 events, attended by nearly 8,000 children. The program is very popular not only among the children. It also involved representatives of local authorities. This program is a great example that useful knowledge can be gained not only in school but also by fun.

3.”Casper – The Rescuer” programme
The program exists since 2013. It was inspiredby "Casper Child Safe on the Road".In the classes we teach preschool children the basics of first aid and road safely. Classes are conducted in small groups and have become very popular.
So far, more than 3000 children took part in our program. Currently, with the help of PZU SA, we perform a series of free activities for children.

4. Educational Center
In order to better implementation of the above-mentioned programs we have created an Educational Center. It was launched in May 2015.
Its purpose is to learn about safe behavior on the roads and first aid. Educational Center is designed for both adults and children (preschool children, students, families, seniors and others). All concerned may participate in the following classes :“Casper- The Rescurer”“Stop the Road Madmans”“First Aid is easy”“Mom, dad and I learn how to safely navigate the road”“Casper- The Guardian of Safe Driving”
Teaching is varied by the use of modern technology. Different types of games, quizzes and computer programs help children to learn about the basic principles of road safety, traffic rules etc. Educational Center is also equipped with a lot of modern technology for example simulators. With these devices the adults can see how a person reacts under the influence of alcohol and drugs. At the same time acquire knowledge about how to help such person.
5. E- learning platform
We started working on e- learning platform in 2014. Currently, we are finishing last steps. This project is being implemented with the participation of EU funds. E- learning platform will provide access to knowledge for a wide audience. We believe that simplicity and availability of this method will raise public awareness on first aid and contribute to saving as many lives as possible.

6. „The Rescue Dron” programme
Design work have began in 2014. It is our latest project, which is going to be developed in the coming years. The aim of this project is the effective usage of drones by medical supports services. The Dron will provide necessary equipment to the scene of an accident before the arrival of emergency services.
It will also give the information to the rescue services about the type of an accident, number of victims, etc. The Dron has build-in cameras that transmit images to the relevant departments.
This project is very innovative not only in Poland but also in whole Europe

How did you disseminate/are you disseminating results or how did you promote/are you promoting your initiative?
Our initiatives and actions are publicized through the Internet (website, social networks), press, radio and local television. We also spread some information using the public transport. In the bus are presented short instructional videos and films depicting the use of modern technologies in emergency traffic. Yearly, we organize international conference on the subject of the safety on roads, lifesaving and first aid, involving the participation of National Authorities and representatives of public and private organizations.
