What problem did you address/are you addressing? 
There are currently over 2 million older drivers in the UK. With major advances in medical car and healthier lifestyles, this is set to increase significantly over the coming years. The functional limitations pf the ageing process can make driving more difficult over time and, because it’s often a slow deterioration, it is not always immediately apparent until it is potentially too late.Analysis of casualty data suggests that older drivers are less likely to be involved in collisions as a result of speeding, or in single vehicle incidents.They are, however, more likely to be involved in collisions in urban areas while travelling at low speed and are more at risk at roundabouts, junctions and slip roads on high speed roads

A new guide - Good Egg‘Older Persons Guide to Road Safety’- has been developed with health professionals following eight months of extensive research and subsequent pre-testing with target audiences to ensure effectiveness. It has been designed to help keep older drivers and pedestrians up-to‐date with the latest information and advice on reducing injury while out and about. Its aim being to significantly reduce casualties.
It includes information which many older drivers told us they’d find very useful; all in one easy‐to-read book:
• Top tips for safer driving
• Car maintenance
• Health, medicines & mobility
• How to fit child car seats
• Choosing when to stop driving
• Stepping out safely
• Getting around by foot or bike
• Using your free bus pass
