What problem did you address/are you addressing?
Based on the Claude M. Steiner`s Stroke Economy Theory, applied to traffic enforcement, we are developing multipupose traffic enforcement units that are able to recognize not only traffic violations, but also good practices.Traffic enforcement systems have proved to be effective and efficient in reducing violations and dangerous situations due to reprehensible behavior of some drivers, but the pecuniary sanction is a reason for rejection and protests among citizens and that kind of pressure, may even affect the political stability. It is possible to improve the reach, effectiveness and efficiency of these systems if, in addition to sanctioning, they recognize and reward good practices.We are sure that is much more effective to change traffic offenders behaviour through strokes, (to denote a unit of human recognition) than with fines. Just let us show it to you.
What are your objectives?
Reduce the number of accidents at intersections of the urban environments, rewarding good practices, such as respecting the STOP signal, stopping at the traffic light in amber or slowing down the speed, faster and beyond that we get only by sanctioning.
Calm down speed on roads by showing the plate number and short recognition message of vehicles that perform good practices in information panel above the road.
Getting more than 75% less traffic violations in a year on the monitorized poitns, using this stroke metodology.

Through mobility and traffic service politicians and chiefs of police.
How did you evaluate/are you evaluating the success of your action?
We have/had installed our UCAs in over 50 cities in Spain and Colombia. We do know the traffic violations that occur in real time. This UCAs are only registering offenses, but not good practices.We are trying to find a city to hire our new methodology, including good practice recognition algothms and traffic violations to compare results with previous installed systems that only registers traffic offenses.
