The road safety is a matter of education.

In the hall of events and in the courtyard of our school was organized a Road Safety Seminar with the Panos Milonas Road Safety Institute on 7/5 and 8/5/2019. The students and teachers of the 1st EPAL of Kiato, 1st GEL of Kiato, 2nd GEL of Kiato and the High School of Kiato were trained. In total, 550 students were trained with their teachers. The training was a theoretical and experiential approach to simulators of overturning, drunkenness, conflict. Constructions - our pupils' works, promotional spots and informative videos created by students about road safety were presented.
The action was presented to the local community. Parents, young students, driving school professionals, traffic police and citizens have been informed about road culture. The action was carried out with the support of OLYMPIA ODOS (the highway road company).

Also, our school was organised and made a briefing to our students and to students of the 2nd GEL of Kiatou, on 9/4/2019. The students of the 1st EPAL also carried out blood donation by placing themselves on volunteer blood donors for the blood bank of road accidents. Information material created by the students was presented.

In the same period, First Aid Seminar held on 15-4-2019 and attended by students of the 1st EPAL of Kiato and 2nd GIL Kiato by the Doctor and Nurse of our school.

We were participated at the award ceremony of the Panhellenic Competition "Road Safety: Joint Responsibility" at the National Library of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. Our school won the 1st Pan-Hellenic Prize in the Advertising Spot category.

We have worked very creatively with OLYMPIA ODO, the company of highways, which funded our actions. In addition, she informed the students of the specialties of Mechanical, Electrical and Computer Science at our school in Patras. We also had excellent cooperation with the Panos Mylonas Institute who undertook the theoretical and experiential education of both the students of the schools participating in the action and of the citizens who participated in the workshop that was organized.
What problem did you address/are you addressing? 
To inform and raise awareness amongst pupils primarily and in the field of road safety. Furthermore, to the consolidation of the causes and consequences of traffic incidents. Moreover, to contribute to the conformation of informed road users.
What are your objectives? 
The theoretical and experiential education with the use of accidents simulators of students of all levels of education in the prefecture of Korinthia. Education can also be attended by citizens. Road safety is a shared responsibility of all society.
Describe the characteristics of your target audience 
These are mainly high school and lyceum students who have no prior experience in road safety information and education with special equipment such as impact, tipping and drunkenness simulators.
