Training Course on Safe Emergency Driving for Rescue Vehicle Driver
In our Training Course the theoretical section includes various in-depth studies such as the legislation (general and specific), the accident rate and its main causes, the driver's psychology and its deviations, the mechanics and dynamics of the vehicles indispensable for a correct technique of guide and to minimize the physio-pathological reactions of the person transported, notions of First aid.
An intermediate section include the application of a specific software for the psycho-aptitude study to the drive and the identification of problems related to pathologies and/or deviance's of various kinds.
The practical section with real drive (and instructor alongside) is carried out on multiple platforms simulating most of the "dangerous" driving situations (bidirectional slalom between pins, search for an escape route, S curve, test of the elk, drunk driving with specific glasses, ...), with correction of the error by the instructor, his evaluation and repetition of the test until the complete correction.
Approximately 850 students took part in our training courses, of which more than half were ambulance drivers from all over Italy.
Our Training Center conducts training courses (generally divided into 3 days) in various Italian Regions, releasing, subject to a final self-learning check, a Training Certificate recognized pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/2008 for safe driving in Emergency of vehicles of Institute.
Our Road Safety Training Center has (among its programs) also a Safe Driving Emergency Retraining Course and a 2nd level Course in which some specific topics are studied and tested.
In particular, the Retraining Course (which can be carried out within 2 years from level 1 and lasting 2 days) consists of a theoretical section on the main driving techniques and regulatory updates as well as a practical section performed on the road in urban areas for the feasibility study of the acquired techniques.
The 2nd level course (divided into 3 days) provides for:
- a theoretical section with in-depth information on legislative innovations and, in particular, on steering techniques, work-related stress trajectories and pathologies.
- a practical section carried out on a go-kart track (for the specific study of the trajectories) and on the road both in urban and extra-urban areas with cars and ambulances.
