Based in Hamburg, Germany, Ibeo Automobile Sensor has been developing laser sensors for the automotive sector since 1998 in order to improve safety in road traffic. Ibeo is Coordinator of the European programme Intersafe 2. The number of staff: 45

In addition to our work, we are signing the European Road Safety Charter with the following commitment:

 

- We will provide our employees with regular driver safety trainings. Every Ibeo employee will have to make a driver safety training. After that, regular updates will take place every 3-5 years.

 

- We will create marketing material related to road safety (website, brochures, leaflets)

The number of material produced: depending on the event, approx. 200-1000

 

- We will regularly participate in conferences/trade shows related to road safety, where we are going to speak about the situation on our roads and the way to improve it. We are planning to attend between 5 and 15 conferences

 

We already coordinate and participate in some of the EU projects aimed at pushing road safety, such as Intersafe 2 (about black spots), Mymosa, Saferider, PiSA (about motorcyle safety), Staf (about truck safety)...
