Our school is successfully winning over partners to propagate road safety. We established cooperation with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways – the Department in Kraków. They sent us a parcel with booklets for our pupils and one of them was “The Colored Highway Code”. It was published to increase the level of children’s safety on the road, during play or on trips. The book acquaints pupils with the world of traffic regulations in a very simple way. It contains all the road signs concerning pedestrians and cyclists.
The Ninth Festivities called “Kid, Be Safe On The Road” In October the Driver Training Centre in Tarnów invited first-graders to take part in the Festivities called “Kid, Be Safe On The Road”. This event has been organized for five years now. As always there were lots of competitions and surprises prepared for children, for example a fitness test or a road signs knowledge test. Children could take part in a kart race or a race holding a stop sign and wearing a police hat.
For several years our school is active in the national program “Traffic accidents – let’s talk”, which is organized by the Association “Road and Safety”. The fifth edition of this program was very successful for us, because we took the second place in the category “school”. This was the result of many activities made in our school such as Safety on the Roads Meeting, poetry competition, school presentations and many others. The students from our school take part in the program every year in December. Due to it there are many meetings in school and lessons about safety on the roads.
In June 2015 our school took part in a competition called “We rescue and we teach how to rescue”. The group of students chosen we fast to be in a semi-finals and then the finals of the competition. It was not so easy though, because we had to win with many other schools form the whole country. The school newspaper gave us the place in the semi-finals and the film in which both students and parents acted let us be one of eight the best schools in Poland. On 10th June 2015 the students from our school took part in the finals.
The European Day of Emergency Number 112 is in the school calendar every year. There was a school event on 11th February 2015. The people invited to our school said that the real problem are the people who call 112 just for fun and they really don’t need help. The meeting was organized together with a police station from Radom and was hosted by a police officer – Kamila Adamska. During the first part of the event, the students found about how to be safe on the road. They also watched a film about emergency number 112 a how to behave on the place of accident.
For the second time our school organized an evening party, “The Fluorescent Soiree”, for grandmothers and grandfathers called “Granny, Grandpa, Be Visible On The Road”. A lot of invited guests gathered in a beautifully decorated gym to see the first-graders’ performance – the representatives of local authorities and institutions, police officers from the District Police Headquarters in Dąbrowa Tarnowska, students of the University of the Third Age and retired teachers. Pupils’ grandmothers and grandfathers were special guests of honour.
On 9 June 2015 The Eleventh District Road Safety Knowledge Tournament For Grades 1-3 “Impeccably And Safely” took place in our school. The main idea of the tournament was to acquaint the youngest road users with road safety rules and giving first aid. The tournament not only broadens their knowledge about safety but also gives a chance to get pupils into the habit of appropriate behavior on the road. Moreover, the tournament popularizes riding bikes as a great means of transport and an excellent recreational activity as well. The tournament is very famous among pupils and their parents.
En los últimos años, desde el Ayuntamiento de Puente Genil, se ha hecho un importante esfuerzo para a través de la policía local implementar programas preventivos de Educación para la Seguridad Vial, con el objetivo de conseguir una movilidad más segura y sostenible en nuestra ciudad, conforme a las políticas de la Unión Europea. El programa educación para la Movilidad Segura y Sostenible “Puente Genil Educa” en el nuevo curso académico llegará a más de 2.600 niños, niñas y jóvenes, de 3 a 18 años, en educación infantil, primaria, secundaria y bachillerato.
Many schools experience chaotic traffic scenes at the beginning and end of the school day. As a school, we alongside The City of Edinburgh Council, took decision to limit traffic in the street directly outside the school at key times, meaning that parents would not be able to park right at the gates to drop off. Our aim is always to create a safer, more pleasant environment.
Les chiffres de la sécurité routière en France sont catastrophique d’années en années, et dans notre département du Gard en particulier. Un apprentissage dès le plus jeune âge des bons comprotements à avoir en tant que piéton, cycliste, passager, usager des transports en commun nous semble indispensable afin des faire évoluer ces indicateurs de manière significative.

Miguel de Cervantes Public Primary School is located in the La Calzada district of the city of Gijón. The learning community is comprised of working class families with a high unemployment rate, pupils of different ethnic groups and nationalities and teachers involved in and committed to this educational activity. The school is the final destination of the majority.
Our school materializes a programme about safe cycling. The goals of the project are the students to learn about the safety use of bicycles and the benefits of cycling. Especially, the goals of the project are: 1. To prompt and encourage the students in expanding the use of bicycles. 2. To sensitive the students, their families and the local community to use the bicycles for their transportation. 3. To learn the right behavior on the road, as cycling drivers 4. To act as energetic, responsible citizens for their environment 5. The students to learn search and produce new ideas 6.

Con esta campaña se conciencia al ciudadano. Un dron no es un juguete. Es una aeronave. Probablemente, más de una persona ha recibido uno de estos artefactos de Papá Noel o los Reyes. Si es así, con nuestro flyer podrá aprender a utilizarlo sin generar riesgos para la seguridad vial ni correr el peligro de ser multado.
During Computer Studies in the fourth grade children do an exercise in Ms Paint Software which consists in drawing road signs that pedestrians have to obey. Furthermore, pupils enclose signs meanings with a suitable background colour next to their drawings on the computers. This kind of exercise certainly helps consolidate childrens knowledge of road signs.
On 6th May, 2015 a four-person team representing our school got a second place in XXXVIII Polish Nationwide Road Safety Tournament in the category of primary schools. There were two stages in these competitions. In the first one, participants form nine Primary Schools and four Junior High Schools wrote a test at the gym in Szkoła Podstatowa z Oddziałami Integracyjnymi Nr 10 im. Polonii w Słupsku (Primary School With Support Classes Number 10 in Słupsk). The second stage took place in WORD (Voivodeship Training Cetre For Drivers) in Słupsk.
The School Safety Club was established on 10 November 2010. 55 members belong to the Club. The board consists of: the chairman – Ernest Fido, the deputy chairman – Magdalena Kozioł, the secretary – Maja Łoś. The aim of the School Safety Club is taking action concerning ecology and the improvement of road safety in our local community. Joining the Club gives the possibility to put the theoretical knowledge on ecology and safety rules into practice. We focus on educating pupils, parents and members of local community on these matters.
For many years word search has been a very popular exercise. It is also an interesting activity for classes promoting road safety. It guarantees having fun and builds the pupils’ vocabulary and that is why it is a great exercise. The task is to find words from the list below the diagram. The words may go across, down, backwards or diagonally. Each letter may be a part of a few words. We prepare such word search puzzles during road safety classes or at the Club meetings.
On 29 October 2015 the Road Transport Inspectors visited our school. They met with the pupils from grades 2 and 3 and the members of the School Safety Club. The inspectors gave a talk about how to be safe on the road and pavement and how to behave on a pedestrian crossing. They emphasized the necessity of being visible and reminded children of the obligation to wear fluorescent elements. Pupils intently watched a PowerPoint presentation about being safe on the road as a pedestrian, a cyclist and a passenger.
Como invitado al programa Canarias Hoy, de la Televisión Autonómica Canaria, estuvimos hablando de Seguridad Vial , sobre todo lo concerniente a los nuevos cambios producidos en relación a los más pequeños dentro del coche que entraron en vigor el pasado día 1 de octubre.
U aktivnost su uključeni učenici u dobi od osam do jedanaest godina s ciljem da se u prometu ponašaju u skladu sa prometnim pravilima. Promatrajući njihovo kretanje na dijelu puta do škole uočeno je da se dio učenika ne ponaša u skladu s prometnim pravilima. Cilj aktivnosti je educirati grupu učenika o prometnim pravilima i propisima kako bi oni svojim vršnjacima prenijeli naučeno čime bi povećali broj učenika koji će u prometu sudjelovati sukladno prometnim propisima čime bi se povećao stupanj njihove sigurnosti.
Campaña enfocada a las Fiestas Navideñas a través de Christmas elaborados por alumnos/as de los Institutos del municipio de La Laguna desde el 17 de diciembre hasta el 6 de enero con mensajes para un consumo y conducta responsable. Cada día los chicos/as de los institutos así como el Ayuntamiento de San Cristóbal de La Laguna enviaba una tarjeta diferente, en las fechas anteriormente citadas, a través de las redes sociales (facebook, Instagram y Twitter, web del Ayuntamiento) además del whasapp.
From May to November 2015 we organized and coordinated the Second All-Poland Artistic Contest connected with Road Safety entitled “Fluorescently – Visibly – Safely”. The contest was aimed at grades 1-3, 4-6 as well as school common rooms. It was held under the patronage of the District Police Headquarters in Dąbrowa Tarnowska and the Road Safety Partnership Association in Warsaw. The level of the contest was very high. 536 artistic works from all over Poland were sent to our school.
STIVO’S ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION In the framework of our corporate social responsibility, STIVO has developed citizenship and road safety education plans toward civil society and especially young public between 8 to 18 year-old in order raising awareness and understanding of road safety and citizenship issues. As a public transport company, we have decided to provide road safety information for children because they are vulnerable as passengers or pedestrians. Early education gives children the tools they need to be safer today.
Św. Jan Paweł II jest patronem Krajowego Duszpasterstwa Kierowców. Pamiętamy, że wielokrotnie i przy różnych okazjach zwracał się do kierowców z apelem o rozwagę. Tak było m.in. w listopadzie 1998 roku z okazji Światowego Dnia Pamięci o Ofiarach Wypadków Drogowych. Mówił wtedy: „Wyrażam nadzieję, że dzięki obchodom tego dnia kierowcy będą zawsze postępować odpowiedzialnie, okazując szacunek zarówno dla ludzkiego życia, jak i dla zasad bezpieczeństwa na drogach”.
