Almost two billion children in the world go to educational institutions every day, however even 500 of them fail to reach the school, they die in traffic accidents, about 2500 are seriously injured. It compares to a number of school children of two large schools - every day. No, it is not a scenario of a horror movie, it is happening right beside us - every day. 20 July 1969.

Every four minutes a child is prematurely lost on the roads of this world. Many more are injured, often severely. Throughout the world, roads are bustling with people operating cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, and mopeds; with pedestrians and other types of road users. Travel made possible by motor vehicles supports economic and social development in many countries and makes transporting goods and people fast and easy. Despite these benefits, however, motor vehicles are involved in accidents that are responsible for millions of deaths and injuries every year worldwide.

Slovenian private advertising company Siletra is launching a brand new web portal in the area of road safety prevention and safety. Together with local automobile clubs, companies, organizations and different field experts their mission is to raise awareness and educate about traffic education issues.
In our advertising company Siletra we also joined the organization of the road safety campaign “Stay bright” and invited two local schools (Osnovna šola Idrija – Podružnična šola Godovič in Zavratec)to participate, and we were very pleased with the actions in the Godovič kindergarten (Metuljčki and Pikapolonice group). Individual groups of children prepared creative cartoons and painted articles, either in the course of English language classes or other relevant subjects, whose main message was traffic safety and how to remain visible in traffic.
