What problem did you address/are you addressing?
The drivers on the road are taking risks for themselves and for the others because they are not sufficiently well trained, informed or sensitized, these operations allow to raise public awareness and to suggest simple tips to implement in everyday life and certainly allow us to save lives and to share good practice. How to apply emergency breaking The importance of having a vehicle in good condition The impact of the reaction time The importance of a good vision to drive safely To let live safely accident situations To analyze the reactions and to adviseWith the goal to make the roads safer through better behavior.
What are your objectives?
The goal is to show our partners that a better training of the drivers is needed to reduce the number of deaths on the roads, that our pedagogy and our approach to safety should be taught in driving schools from the driver's license or supervised driving.
How did you disseminate/are you disseminating results or how did you promote/are you promoting your initiative?
The operation « Who want to test his driving » has been relayed by the press and television since there were: 24 press articles Web press : 14 articles Radio: 14 broadcasts Television: 5 broadcastsToday we are often approached by television channels such as M6, France 2, France 5… for reports on the driving simulator training or interventions during radio broadcasts on SUD RADIO and France BLEU in particular.The Safety and Road Traffic Directorate in France is very closely interested in our actions.
How did you evaluate/are you evaluating the success of your action?
The association “40 Millions d’Automobilistes” has kept contact with people sensitized during the tour of France in order to be able, in the future, to have a follow-up of the effectiveness of these actions.The operations with the ASNAV allow drivers to become aware of problems of vision and has encouraged them to immediately correct their vision.
