The actions that we plan to undertake over the coming years will be arranged jointly with the ANIA (National Insurance Association) Road Safety Foundation and will involve our sales network in order to raise greater awareness about this sensitive issue.
- In the context of the “Stasera Guido Io” [I’m driving tonight] initiative, organised over the summer period in cooperation with ANIA in towns with nightclubs, we will involve our agencies and recognised car dealerships in all of the stages organised (approximately six stages), using them as centres for information on road safety and the dangers of drinking and driving. Through the distribution of gadgets and information material, we seek to compile data on the young people involved and encourage them to volunteer as “non-drinkers” to drive home from the nightclub. The data compiled will be used to increase awareness of youth conduct, with the creation of an ad hoc policy.
- Furthermore, together with ANIA, we will consider the implementation of a system to monitor young license-holders, in order to be able to determine safe driving routes for those evenings on which they volunteer as designated drivers, and for other forms of participation in similar events, so as to be able to offer a reward system based on the cost of insurance policies.
- Through an advertising campaign at our points of sale (over 500), we will disseminate the use of tools established by ANIA, such as a portal, “Black Point”, an e-mail address, a freephone number, an SMS and MMS number, and a postal address to which citizens can send information on particularly dangerous spots on the road network in order to eliminate these causes, cooperating with the local authorities in order to reduce accidents.
